January 2020 Meeting – 147.00 Repeater’s Future

Tue, 11/12/2019 - 9:46pm

January 14th, 2020

Analog? Digital? NBFM? DMR? Our club repeater is ‘long in the tooth’ and we need to think of its future.  A spokesman from the repeater coordinating body, the Western WA Amateur Relay Association, will give us a briefing on where things are going. Armed with this knowledge, we need to make a decision.  Join us for optional dinner that’s RSVP ($25).  The program begins at 7pm. Details about our monthly meetings and a catalog of past programs are available on the Monthly Membership Meetings page.

Activate a County for Salmon Run

Sun, 10/13/2019 - 6:55pm

If you’re going to activate a county in the Salmon Run, please let a WWDXC officer know, or email the information to salmonrun@wwdxc.org, and we’ll add it to the list!  Please tell us which days/hours, bands, and modes where people can find you.  The Activate a County List is a way to inform hams around the world participating in the Salmon Run who to look for in the different Washington counties – and to let those of us who go out with mobile stations know which counties may not be covered.  There is no requirement to operate specific bands or modes, and there is no exclusive reservation.  This list and the map will be updated regularly in the 30 days preceding the contest.

Salmon Run Results Posted!

Sun, 10/13/2019 - 3:52pm

We’ve posted the results of the 2019 Salmon Run. There were 337 logs received before the deadline, which is more than the past few years. That’s a great sign – that even as the Solar Cycle declines and the bands become challenging, the Salmon Run is growing in popularity.
