W7AZ Antenna Mast

During the last year, the club station at the Red Cross Office has been improved. The two HF
antennas have been replaced, new coax feed line and lightning arrestors were installed and radios
have been upgraded. The station was ON THE AIR for Field Day, Salmon Run, Special Events
Columbia Cup and two Lighthouse and Lightship weekends. Demonstrations and presentations
were made at each meeting.
The 7:30 morning social net on W7AZ (146.64) has been operating 7 days a week. We have been making progress.
The next two meeting of the club are important ones. The club will be choosing the leadership of
the club for the next year and that will determine the course that the club will take.
Several members of the club will be leaving and will be greatly missed. That opens the
opportunity for others to participate. It is important that we elect club officers that will take an
active role.
We will be taking nominations for officers at the November 6 th meeting and talk about the duties
of the officers. Nominations from the floor will be taken at the December 4th meeting as well.
Elections will be held during the December 4 th meeting.
If you are interested in any of these positions or would like to nominate someone else for one of
these positions, please send me an email and I will add you to the list of nominees.
We will be electing:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Trustee #1
Trustee #2
Although not elected positions, we are looking for individuals that are interested in the
following:
Maintenance of the repeaters.
A designated person to deal with FCC, State Agencies and Insurance.
A program coordinator.
