Well it looks like I have a new hobby. My friend introduced me to a Baofeng radio and told me how easy it is to get licensed. So that was about 2 weeks ago. I have no experience with HAM and always thought it was beyond attainment both technically and monetarily. It seem this is not the case. I have background in electronics so I am ready for the Technicians license and studying for the General. It looks like the next test is in July so….. Its gonna be a long 2 mos. I guess my questions would be are there any events, meetings, resources that I might take advantage of between now and my test.
