I am impressed by the quality of the club's website. Who maintains it and are you using commercial software, freeware or something home-grown? It is very nice and useful. I wish more hams in the area would use this great resource. Make me proud to be a ham radio operator. Good job to all who have made this happen.

Hi Bruce-- I developed the framework of the site using Drupal, and open source, GNU licensed Content Management System (CMS). Running on Linux servers. Not too difficult for an old computer hack. Majority of effort is keeping it patched.
It is designed to be "user driven"-- that is, CONTENT should be provided by those that have an interest in the subject. Content doesn't need to be created by a webmaster. Derek Ingalsbe, KE7ZMC, does quite a bit to keep stuff updated. I wish more would use it.
Please feel free to add content via the forums, photo albums etc. Maybe we can get some synergy up so more will share.

Steve--the site is really first class. Thanks to all who are making this an outstanding resource. I'll work on content, I'm such a newbie in many ways I worry that anything I might add will be pretty fundamental, but you can always delete it, right?

Sure we can delete. Never had to though. Any content can be edited by the author or someone with "content manager" privileges. Also, we can "unpublish" obsolete content which lets us keep stuff in archive for future reference.
Any content can also be duplicated to the front page. For example, earlier I pushed your Electronic Theory info to the top front page with two checkmarks in the "publish" attributes section. It's primary residence is in the forum that you posted, but it will also now show on the home page.
There are many well-known commercial websites using this open-source Drupal CMS.
