The Tri-Cities and surrounding area have Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) repeaters on Jump Off Joe Butte south of Kennewick. They are directly connected to the PNW-Digital group's DMR network of about 95 repeaters in the Pacific Northwest, plus select world-wide DMR "Talk Groups" on the Brandmiester DMR network. The network is open to licensed amateurs, no dues or anything. ALL DMR requires a numeric "DMR ID" to function-- thus you will need to visit website radioID.net and apply for one. Once you have it, your unique ID will need to be entered into the codeplug BEFORE you can program or use the radio.
